Line

Poetry

The second Savannah Brown prompt is:

A line has two sides

Line

The tightrope of Life has two sides to cross,
the side of departure, changes course indeed,
in the balancing act, is felt loss,
when birthed under another sun or creed,

You may peer below; the abyss shall mislead,
it is difficult to move ahead,
once you’ve seen those who had fallen by Greed,
their pain wasn’t you, nor you who made bloodshed,

But you shall continue, to hear those words unsaid,
it is you who must say them aloud,
for others do not and shut their ears instead,
since they are too proud.

Having stayed on the Rope, now at the End,
who knows how that shall be,
for now one foot in front of the other,
is just enough for me.
